Dr. Lindsey Boudreaux was born and raised in Louisiana. Shortly after graduating LSU Vet School in 2008, she moved to Los Angeles, California where she did a one year rotating specialty internship in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Surgery at Advanced Veterinary Care Center. After completing her internship working with small animals, she was then accepted to a Conservation and Wildlife Medicine internship in South Africa.
She spent two months gaining experience in conservation medicine and working with large exotics such as lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, along with several antelope species. Once back in America, she became the wildlife veterinarian for the California Wildlife Center. As adventurous as her stint with wildlife of all sizes was, her true calling was emergency medicine.
She eventually transitioned back to the small animal world and since that time she has had the opportunity to practice emergency medicine in Florida, Alabama, New Orleans and is now back home in Lafayette. She is a full time associate emergency veterinarian at Lafayette Animal Emergency Clinic but also works relief at several day practices in the area including Parkway Animal Hospital. Her special interests include ophthalmology, cardiology, and radiology.
