Air and Waste

The Air and Waste Practice Group attorneys understand that their clients, large and small corporations, municipalities, industries, small businesses, water districts, and individual land owners, need to focus on their business. Our attorneys can help make sure they can do that by tackling their legal and regulatory obstacles for them. This highly qualified and experienced group includes former assistant attorneys general and former general counsels for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUC). We regularly represent clients before the TCEQ, the PUC, the Texas Railroad Commission, and the EPA. We also routinely advocate before state and federal courts, the Texas Legislature, and local governments.

The Business Services Practice Group provide high-value, collaborative counsel throughout every stage of business activities. We help clients meet the challenges of starting a business, including: formation of business entities, such as partnerships, limited liability companies, professional entities, and both for-profit and non-profit corporations; and assisting with negotiating real estate leases, purchases, sales, and development agreements.

Real Estate

The Real Estate Practice Group attorneys are skilled in handling commercial real estate transactions, from the purchase of raw land through the development, leasing and divestiture of property. We assist clients with complicated real estate transactions, including: representing landlords and tenants in commercial office, retail, industrial, farm and ground leasing transactions; and negotiating and preparing easement agreements for utilities, construction, access, drainage, and conservation purposes.

Water

The Water Practice Group attorneys are full-time water professionals with a wide range of experience in all facets of water law. We routinely represent clients before the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, Texas Water Development Board, Railroad Commission of Texas, Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the State Office of Administrative Hearings, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in state and federal courts, and before the Texas Legislature, in a variety of matters, including: Surface water, groundwater, wastewater, and reclaimed water permitting and enforcement; administrative and judicial conflict resolution of complex water supply and water quality matters; and Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, National Environmental Policy Act, and Endangered Species Act issues counseling.
