The purpose of the Madison County SWCD is to provide information for the conservation, development and proper utilization of the water and soil resources of this county. The Information & Education (I&E) function of the District adds to the accomplishment of this purpose through educational programs in schools, libraries, local communities and newspaper articles.  The I&E also provides information through our quarterly newsletter, The Conservation Journal.
