The 95-acre McEntire Road VPA area is located in the southern edge of Murray County and contains huntable crop fields for migratory birds (i.e. doves), as well as forested land that may be small game hunted during posted dates.

Voluntary Public Access Area 

McEntire Road is a Voluntary Public Access (VPA) property. Since 2014, the Wildlife Resources Division has been able to enhance and add to its WMA program through additional temporary agreements with private landowners for public hunting opportunities thanks to a USDA grant.

Directions

From Calhoun: take Highway 225 NE to Highway 136. Turn right (east) on Highway 136 (Nicklesville Road). Go 5 miles and turn left (north) on Davis Road (which turns into McEntire Road when entering Murray County). Kiosk is 0.7 miles on the right.
