Greenwood Forestry Consulting provides a wide variety of land management services to landowners in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.

Offering a wide array of services to forest landowners.   The most common types of projects are 

• Preparation of forest management plan (FMP).  Most of these plans are to enable landowners to enroll their property into the state forestry program (IFDA program) or federal programs (such as EQUIP).  
• Timber sale administration.  Selling timber can be a confusing affair for those unfamilliar with the process.  A professional forester can take the guesswork out of the marking, marketing and selling timber from your property.
• Timber appraisals and valuation. Knowing the value of your standing timber can be very important.  Individuals request appraisals when buying or selling forested land, for insurance purposes as well as to gauge current market trends when considering a timber sale.  
• Damage appraisals.  We can assist in assigning value to trees that have been harmed or even harvested wrongfully (also known as "timber tresspass").  This type of work involves preparing reports and testifying in court proceedings. 
• Tree planting services.  We offer tree planting, and follow-up weed control services for projects as small as a few trees to reforestation on areas hundreds of acres in size.  We can also provide any seedling that you need for you tree planting project
• Invasive species control.  Removing exotic species from your property is an important part of keeping your woodland healthy.  Whether it is foliar spray to control garlic mustard, or large woody shrubs like buckthorn, we are able to assist you in any and every aspect of the removal process.
