Nothing compares to the Mossy Island hunting experience - with comfortable lodging, hearty meals, and friendly, knowledgeable guides.
Mossy Island Outfitters' owner and guides have enjoyed hunting the Delta for many years and are pleased to offer the Delta duck hunting experience to other hunters from around the country.
Mossy Island Outfitters's property has over 22,000 acres which includes hunting opportunities on flooded timber, rice, corn, and bean fields along with small brakes. We offer an excellent habitat for all our game birds, and we have large amounts of land set aside as feeding and resting areas for waterfowl. Our duck hunts are conducted from cane blinds, platform blinds, standing in timber, and duck coffins.
Our lodge overlooks picturesque Mossy Lake in Morgan City, Miss. Guests are welcome to fish Mossy Lake when taking a break from the duck blind or other hunting activities.
Hunters are encouraged to bring their own retrievers, who will be lodged in clean, well-managed accommodations of their own during their stay.
Our guides are here to provide you with top quality hunting. We like to limit our duck hunting parties to 4 hunters per guide for the safety and comfort of all of our guests. We will only make exceptions if requested ahead of time.
Space is limited. Reservations are taken on a first-come-first-serve basis and a deposit of 50% of the hunting package price is required within 10 days of booking the hunt to guarantee the reservations. If deposit is not received another hunt will be booked in that slot after 10 days. Full refund of deposit is only guaranteed to those who cancel their reservation 60 days prior to the date of the hunt. Those booking multiple hunter trips must cancel individuals who will not be able to hunt with us or forfeit refund of deposit.
