Nicholas graduated from Washington and Lee University in 2004 with a degree in Economics and a concentration in Classics and the University of Texas School of Law in 2010. Before attending law school, Nicholas clerked both the House Committee on Energy Resources and the Oilfield Cleanup Fund Advisory Committee under Chairman West.
During law school, Nicholas interned with Justice Harriet O’Neill at the Texas Supreme Court and the Honorable Judge Lee Yeakel at the Western District Court of Texas as well as clerking at several firms in the in Austin area. He also served as an associate editor for the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas & Energy Law and spent the Fall of his third year studying in London through an exchange program at Queen Mary University School of Law; focusing on European environmental issues, natural resources law, comparative free speech and international human rights.
