Welcome! The Nicholas County Extension program is informal education designed to “help people help themselves” in acquiring knowledge and improving their quality of life. Our office is often the place called when homeowners, farmers, or families have questions or problems, and are looking for trustworthy answers.
The Cooperative Extension Service also provides programs in the areas of 4-H and Youth, Agriculture, Family Nutrition, Family and Consumer Sciences, Natural Resources, Community Resources and Economic Development. To meet and support the needs of local people and communities, county faculty and staff involve local residents in developing and leading specific programs and activities including workshops, meetings, exhibits and fairs, newsletters, telephone calls, letters and individual consultations.
