Notrebes Bend Park is positioned on the Arkansas River, close to Merrisach Lake and the Arkansas Post Canal. The small, quaint campground is along the Mississippi Flyway, the route millions of migratory birds take to get to and from the Gulf of Mexico. Notrebes Bend sits on the main stem of the Arkansas River beside the Wilbur D. Mills Dam. Just upriver is the Arkansas Post Canal, which stretches east to connect with the White River. The Wilbur D. Mills Lock and Dam attracts anglers with an abundance of largemouth bass, crappie, bream and catfish. Boating, hiking and birding are also popular pastimes.
