The Mission of the Oceana Conservation District is to promote conservation, stewardship and sustainable use of the natural resources in Oceana County, through landowner assistance and education.
The Oceana Conservation District is a legal entity of state government organized under provisions of Act 297 (Public Acts of 1937) as amended. It was established in1972 by Public Referendum and was the last Conservation District established in the State of Michigan. A five member locally elected Board of Directors develops policy and conducts programs within the District, which covers all of Oceana County
