To educate, empower, and assist all citizens of Oklahoma County in protecting, managing, and conserving our natural resources.
Overview
Our district is a sub-division of state government. We were organized in 1941 to help local citizens protect and conserve our natural resources.
Our main goal is to ensure that all citizens have access to quality education and assistance as they seek to preserve, protect, and enhance the natural resources in our county. We serve as the local link for our citizens to access federal and state conservation agencies and programs.
The district encompasses all of Oklahoma County and covers 459,802 acres. It is unique in that 79% of the land inside our boundaries in within an incorporated city. We work with a broad scope of rural and urban landowners.
We invite all citizens of Oklahoma County to become familiar with the activities and services of our district. Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday
