The Down Home Southern Cooking Restaurant has some of the best fried chicken in the south along with other delicious southern favorites! Just ask Southern Living. Just when visitors think the place couldn't get any more quirky and fun, owner "Mr. D' with a little persuasion will serenade visitors with a blues song apparently called, 'Grammy Was a Cornbread Cookin' Queen." There's no wonder this location entertains more than 80,000 visitors a year. The store is open year round and serves lunch. Always call ahead. This is truly a deep south authentic experience not to be missed!
