Eight northeast Ohio land-preservation groups have merged into one regional entity that, as of January 1, 2006, began doing business as Western Reserve Land Conservancy (WRLC). The Chagrin River Land Conservancy, is the largest of the merging groups and the other members include the Bratenahl Land Conservancy, Firelands Land Conservancy, Headwaters Land Trust, Hudson Land Conservancy, Medina Summit Land Conservancy, Portage Land Association for Conservation and Education (PLACE), and Tinkers Creek Land Conservancy.
