The Palmer Soil and Water Conservation District was started by local landowners in 1947 and is managed by a volunteer board composed of agricultural producers. It is one of 12 such Districts in Alaska and covers the Matanuska River Watershed area. Palmer staff have a diverse skill set and can help assist you with many of your conservation needs.
