This area consists of approximately 11,000 acres, is located on a ridge between the Cossatot and Saline Rivers and primarily consists of intensively managed pine timberlands and mixed pine/hardwood tracts. Wildlife management practices are integrated with timber management practices to provide quality wildlife habitat and hunting opportunities (deer, quail, turkey, squirrel, and rabbits). These management practices provide substantial open land habitats and stimulate excellent browse production.
Dierks Lake offers good fishing opportunities and is approximately 4 miles north. Pond Creek NWR and Millwood Lake are approximately 10 miles south.
Camping is permitted on the area at designated campsites.
