Randy has a keen understanding and respect for the habitat, wildlife and people in the Dakotas. Randy grew up in Bismarck, ND where as a youngster he nurtured a passion for the outdoors. This passion led him to pursue a career in natural resources.

He gained a B.S. degree in wildlife and fisheries sciences at South Dakota State University and continued his education at the University of Montana, where he earned a M.S. degree in wildlife management.

Since college Randy has worked for Ducks Unlimited in the Dakotas as a regional biologist for the past 21 years. He has extensive experience with native grassland renovations, livestock grazing planning and wetland restoration work.
