Dr. Sara Manceaux is an Associate Veterinarian who was born and raised in Texas. Her family moved here to Montgomery in 2006 from Spring. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors in Biomedical Science and minor in Neuroscience in 2012. Although she has always been passionate about animals and dedicated her life to achieving her dream of becoming a veterinarian, she took a year to pursue opportunities outside of veterinary medicine. She gained her teaching certification and taught high school biology for 2 years. After realizing she did not enjoy teaching, she applied and was accepted at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the island of St. Kitts. During her 3.5 years on the island she gained her certifications in Scuba diving and International Wildlife Rehabilitation and found a love of equine medicine. She was fortunate enough to complete an internship in Thailand where sheprovided medical care to Asian elephants. Upon returning to the states she completed her clinical year at Texas A&M University. After receiving her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in2019 she pursued an internship at Texas Equine Hospital under the mentorship of Dr. Cliff Honnas and his associates, including Dr. Francisco Alvarez. She then took a year and worked asa small animal relief veterinarian in Beaumont, Texas where she completed hundreds of spays, neuters, hernia repairs, tail amputations and other minor surgeries. She was finally able to return home to Montgomery in September of 2021 when Dr. Jim Schulze hired her as anAssociate Veterinarian at EVA/Woodforest and stayed on when ownership transferred to Dr. Francisco Alvarez in 2023. She provides her special blend of compassion and knowledge to allher patients and clients in both small animal and equine. Dr. Manceaux has a special interest and passion for sports medicine. She hopes to continue her veterinary medicine education by pursuing certification in Equine and Small Animal Rehabilitation, Equine and Small Animal Acupuncture and Chiropractic.
