Shane is a native Oregonian with over ten years of experience in forestry and conservation. He works out of the Corvallis office and is a certified Technical Service Provider for the Natural Resource Conservation Service as well as a professional member of the Forest Steward's Guild. Shane's forestry career started in Senegal, West Africa as a Peace Corps volunteer. More recently, he was studying and working in New England- first as a graduate student, then as the manager of Yale's forestry extension program, and finally as a consulting forester for a firm that he started in 2013. His interests include furthering connections between people and their woods through sustainable forest management, elevating the dialogue around forestry related issues, and getting outside as much as possible for "non-work" time in the woods.
