The Minnesota Assocation of Soil & Water Conservation Districts Area II Association is made up of the Boards of Supervisors of 11 area districts. The Area II group holds three meetings a year where members can keep abreast of MASWCD efforts to promote and improve conservation throughout Minnesota and where they can discuss important conservation efforts close to home. Stevens SWCD hosted the March 2008 meeting in Morris. Old #1 Southside provided excellent meeting facilities and a great meal for attendees and guests from partner agencies throughout the area such as the Natural Resources Conservation Service, the Board of Water and Soil Resources, and WesMin RC&D.
