The Swansea Farmers’ Market was opened in 2009 by a group of dedicated volunteers with the goal of showcasing locally produced items in the Village. The Farmers' Market is known for its variety of locally grown fresh fruits, vegetables and meats, delicious baked goods, and intriguing handcrafted goods from tour local area.. The market is incorporated as an Illinois not-for-profit corporation and continues to be managed weekly by an all-volunteer staff. The area is handicapped accessible.
The Market is open every Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. May through October, rain or shine.
The Market is located in the Rural King Parking Lot, 2801 N. Illinois Street
