Established in 1925, The Garden Club of Barrington’s mission is to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening among amateurs; to aid in the protection of native plants and birds; and to encourage civic planting.
We fulfill this mission by providing volunteer hours and funding to a wide range of local organizations and projects; hosting Flower and Horticulture Shows in the community; offering interesting guest speakers from around the world through our Frances M. Peacock lecture series; providing educational nature programs for children in the local District 220 schools; and by developing and publishing books such as “Keepers of the Land” which is distributed free to new homeowners in the area.
