Thomas Houghton is responsible for the engineering roll-out of PV projects, leveraging his practical experience in the selection of reliable components and in optimizing designs, from both the technical and economical perspectives. He manages Enerparc’s technology portfolio and directs all planning and technical compliance activities for commercial solar facilities. Mr. Houghton started his career in solar in 2006 and is a true believer in the environmental principles upon which solar was founded. This motivated him to create his own residential and commercial solar installation and engineering company, which he ran from 2006 to 2010. In 2010 he joined Trina Solar and took leadership roles in technical services, product management, project development, and strategic business development. He holds a California General Engineering Class A contractor license. His background is in mechanical engineering studied at the University of California, Davis.
