Experience:
Worked with US Forest Service 3+ years, Dept of Navy 1 year, 6+ years of Bottomland Hardwood Research at Mississippi State University, 20 years, and currently, as a consulting forester working with landowners managing their property, doing contracting work with Federal, State, Forest Industry and other forest management firms. Do appraisal and valuations, inventory, thinnings, timber harvest sales, prescribed burning, etc.
Success story:
Consider each successful timber sale, thinning, prescribed burn, planting, etc. as a success story. One that sticks out is being contacted by a landowner about whether or not to accept an offer for his timber and after convincing him to bid his timber off he got $ 300,000.00 + more for his timber than the previous offer.
