Todd Goode, consulting forester, has 30 years of experience in different facets of the timber industry. Upon graduating from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry, he went to work for a local land surveyor/civil engineer. Here he learned much about property lines, subdividing land, deed research and soils. After surveying he worked 22 years as a Procurement Forester for a hardwood sawmill in Bedford, Virginia. Here he kept as many as 5 logging crews harvesting timber he had purchased for the mill. He bought timber tracts of all sizes from numerous landowners learning firsthand about timber management, landowner goals and logging. He also gained valuable experience with the value of different species of pulpwood, logs and lumber. In 2019 he started Goode Forestry Consulting under his Goode Land and Timber banner, where he can put his experience to work for you, the landowner.
