Dr. Flores grew up in a small agricultural town of Watsonville, California and was active in her local 4H program. Showing her dog, rabbits, lambs, pigs, and horse sparked her love of animals and passion for their care! Dr. Flores attended the University of California Davis to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. After graduation, she worked in the biomedical industry for a summer, then traveled to New Zealand and Australia for agricultural work-study programs. Upon returning to the States, she attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in the Caribbean for her DVM, then completed her clinical year at Oklahoma State University before settling in Texas. Dr. Flores’s professional interests include pet wellness, bovine reproduction, and production health medicine. She also likes the educational process and sharing her knowledge with families. Dr. Flores says she loves interacting with pet owners—a different breed in and of themselves!
