The goals of the bank are to enhance the vegetation of 267 acres of relic wet pine savanna and Carolina bay through prescribed burning, mechanical treatment, and chemical treatment as necessary, and to preserve 248 acres of fully functional Carolina bay and relic wet pine savanna. This site provides preferred conditions for many rare and endemic plant species occurring within the Southeastern United States.
