WestVet 24 Hour Animal Emergency and Specialty Center is the only twenty-four hour veterinary emergency and specialty center in Idaho. Our Services

WestVet is committed to providing your pet with the highest level of veterinary medicine. In keeping with that mission, our state-of-the-art facility has the equipment and technology necessary to fulfill that promise. We provide expertise in the areas of veterinary oncology, surgery, emergency medicine, and veterinary ophthalmology -- all under the same roof of our animal hospital.

Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care

WestVet is open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year to help your pet at anytime of the day or night for an emergency. Our hospital is equipped with in-house diagnostic laboratory tests, x-ray, oxygen support, and even a CT scanner.

Veterinary Surgery

Westvet surgeons are the only board certified small animal surgeons in the state of Idaho. They have extensive experience and expertise in the areas of orthopedics (e.g. TPLO, TTA, fractures, and hip replacement), general surgery (e.g. cancer surgery, heart/lung, liver/kidney procedures), and spinal surgery (e.g. herniated disks, wobbler, fusion). Our veterinary surgeons lecture and teach workshops to veterinarians on both a national and international level.  

Ophthalmology

WestVet has equipped our board certified ophthalmologists with advanced equipment to provide your pet with the highest level of medicine and surgery. Veterinary ophthalmologists are able to perform cataract surgery, corneal surgery, and provide medical care for a wide range of ailments.
