Want to know your farmer and where your food comes from Visit White Oak Pastures for an immersion experience into the natural way to raise and harvest animals. We operate one of only two on-farm USDA-inspected abattoirs in the country. We raise and process grassfed cattle, sheep, goat, pastured chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, guineas, and hogs on the Serengeti Rotational Grazing Model. White Oak Pastures is not Disney World. It is real world, and you will learn where food really comes from. Chickens peck and pigs wallow, just as they were meant to. Be sure that you call ahead and schedule for one of us to meet you. We'd love to have you visit our farm.We also have a restaurant on site that serves up food from our farm. It's open-air and primarily feeds our 100+ employees (from butchers and organic farmers to office managers) who work Monday through Saturday. Since we're quite a drive from another eatery, we decided we should use the quality foods we're raising and serve our employees hardy meals, conveniently on site. We feature a daily special along with regular daily menu items. We also offer a wide variety of items for sale in our storefront ranging from homemade preserves to pickled items and seasonal sausage. We hope that you will join us Monday - Saturday for lunch (12 p.m.-1:30 p.m.), and supper Friday and Saturday (6 p.m. - 8 p.m.) in our On-Farm Restaurant! Our Farm Store is full of White Oak Pastures home-made stocks and canned goods, as well as hand-butchered steaks, roasts, and poultry cuts. You can also find our pasture raised eggs and hand-made cheese in our store! If you need a special gift, check out our leather goods, also made from the cows we raise. We're a zero waste farm and we make sure we utilize everything after we harvest the animal.White Oak Pastures has raised cattle on this farm since 1866. Environmental Sustainability, Animal Welfare and the Local Food Movement are the core values of this farm.
