Willow Creek Wildlife Area was designated as a wildlife area by the Fish and Game Commission in 1990. It is approximately 2,700 acres of meadows, wetlands, and shallow marshes, and is a major source of water for Honey Lake. Extensive stands of tule occupy the lower meadows, and numerous streams and channels meander through the area. The meadows provide habitat for upland species such as grouse, quail, and pronghorn antelope. Nesting waterfowl, sandhill cranes, and shorebirds all provide excellent viewing opportunities.
