Their primary purpose is to create and implement a statewide monarch conservation strategy which encompasses habitat creation and enhancement, education and outreach, and research and monitoring. The founding members of the Wisconsin Monarch Collaborative were organized into six separate Working Groups: Agriculture, Communications & Outreach, Protected Lands, Research & Monitoring, Rights-of-Way, and Urban & Green Space. The co-leads of each Working Group facilitated meetings in order to finalize their sections of the strategy.
