The Wyoming Water Association was founded in 1933 to foster water development in Wyoming. For many decades, the Wyoming Water Association has worked tirelessly to promote the development, conservation, and utilization of Wyoming’s water resources for the benefit of Wyoming people. In our early years, we were known as the Wyoming Water Development Association. We became the Wyoming Water Association to reflect our broader focus on the many and diverse issues involving water in Wyoming. With changing and growing demands on Wyoming’s limited water resources, complicated by an increasingly complex overlay of federal laws and regulations, management and development challenges and conflicts continue to become more numerous. The Wyoming Water Association maintains an active role in supporting the State of Wyoming’s efforts to put Wyoming water to use for Wyoming’s citizens. The Wyoming Water Association continues to be directly involved in facilitating the vital cooperation needed to assure Wyoming’s continuing ability to develop and use our most precious natural resource—now and in the future.
