YCPCD’s main focus is to uphold the Colorado Noxious Weed Act and to control the noxious weeds listed by Yuma County. YCPCD has also established a grasshopper control program. This program is a cost share program for grasshopper control on range, pasture, and grasslands. YCPCD established a Black-tailed prairie dog mitigation/cost share program in 2006.
