Dr. Zac is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas who made his way to South Louisiana in 2016 to attend veterinary school at LSU. During his first month in Louisiana, there were riots in Baton Rouge and a 100 year flood. Somehow he didn’t get the hint, so he chose to hang around to be a part of 12 hurricanes and a global pandemic. Strangely enough he believes that these events are the main reason he is still here. They allowed him to experience South Louisiana, the place he now calls, “home to the best people on earth” first hand. He feels that the people of South Louisiana are the most caring, giving people he has ever interacted with. Working with our people and their pets is a pleasure that he can’t get enough of.
Dr. Zac received his undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas where he majored in Biology. After veterinary school, he completed a rotating internship at MedVet, an emergency and specialty veterinary hospital in the New Orleans area. He believes this opportunity was essential in his education because it allowed him to see complex cases daily and train under board certified specialists in their respective fields. Dr. Zac has a love for surgery, but greatly enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine.
